The Brief
The owner brought in his WRX VB wanting more out of the FA24DIT without going overboard. He was after better throttle response and a bit more grunt for spirited street driving, something that would make the car feel like it should have from factory.
The Build
We fitted an Invidia j-pipe to reduce backpressure and improve exhaust response, then tuned the car on our Dynapack using the Cobb Accessport. The j-pipe on its own makes a difference, but the real gains come from pairing it with a proper tune that takes advantage of the improved flow. The custom map was built to suit the hardware, with boost control, fueling, and throttle response all calibrated from scratch. Nothing off-the-shelf, the tune was written specifically for this car and its setup.
The Result
The car came out with noticeably better power delivery across the rev range. Throttle response is sharper, the midrange pulls harder, and the FA24DIT feels more alive. A clean, entry-level upgrade that makes a genuine difference to how the car drives day to day.
