Overview
This WRX VB came in for an Invidia j-pipe and a custom tune through the Cobb Accessport. A straightforward combination that opens up exhaust flow and lets the FA24DIT breathe properly, backed by a tune built to suit the hardware.
The j-pipe replaces the factory unit with a less restrictive design, reducing backpressure and improving exhaust response. On its own it makes a difference, but pairing it with a proper tune is where the real gains come from.
The Tune
We tuned the car on our Dynapack using the Cobb Accessport, building a custom map to take advantage of the improved exhaust flow. Boost control, fueling, and throttle response were all calibrated to suit. The result is a more responsive car with better power delivery across the rev range.
