Common questions
- Why the HKS turbo kit specifically?
- HKS has been developing forced induction kits for Toyota's sports car platforms for decades. Their turbo kit for the FA24 is proven, well-engineered, and designed to work with the factory ECU via EcuTek. Reliability and drivability are built in.
- Do I need to upgrade my clutch?
- Yes. The stock clutch can't handle 120+kW gains reliably. RZ Stage 3 includes an upgraded clutch kit rated for the power level. This is non-negotiable for a build that'll last.
- Will the FA24 handle this power?
- Yes. The FA24 is a strong engine — stronger than the FA20 it replaced. With proper tuning and supporting mods, it handles RZ Stage 3 power levels reliably. The key is quality tuning and all supporting mods done right, which are included.
- Why single fuel tune instead of flex?
- At RZ Stage 3 power levels, we recommend picking one fuel and optimizing for it. Most customers run 98 for convenience. Flex fuel is available as an add-on if you want E85 capability.
- How long does the build take?
- Typically 1-2 weeks depending on parts availability. We'll give you a timeline during the consultation. You'll get progress updates and photos throughout.
- What about warranty?
- RZ Stage 3 is a significant modification. This is for enthusiasts who've accepted the trade-off between power and factory warranty. We stand behind our work with our own warranty on parts and labour.
