Exedy Clutch Kits
Supplied & Fitted Melbourne
From OE replacements to race-spec multi-plate kits. We supply the full Exedy range and fit it properly at our Ringwood workshop.
The Exedy lineup
Five ranges covering everything from a straight factory replacement to a multi-plate race kit. We stock the popular applications and can order anything else from the Exedy catalogue.
Exedy OE Replacement Kits
Factory-spec clutch kits that match what came out of the box. Same materials, same clamp load, same feel. If the original clutch lasted 150,000km and you haven't added power, this is the one to go back in with.
Popular fitments
Exedy Sports Tuff
Heavy-duty organic kit with a higher clamp load cover. Still drives like a stock clutch on the street but holds more torque before it slips. The go-to upgrade for cars with a tune, bolt-ons, or a mild power bump that's just enough to kill the OE disc.
Popular fitments
Exedy Ballistic Tuff
Exedy's Clutchtex material lasts 2–3x longer than sintered ceramic and won't chew up your flywheel or pressure plate. High torque capacity with smooth engagement — none of the on/off feeling you get from a cerametallic disc. Supplied with extra high clamp load covers and Japanese release bearings.
GR86 530Nm · Evo X 930Nm · WRX 840Nm
Popular fitments
Exedy Hyper Single & Multi
Full cerametallic single and multi-plate kits for high-power builds and dedicated track cars. Hyper Singles for cars that still see the street occasionally. Hyper Multis for builds where holding power is the only thing that matters. These are not daily drivers.
Popular fitments
Flywheels & SMF Conversions
Lightened chromoly flywheels and single-mass conversions. If you're pulling the box for a clutch, it's the time to do the flywheel. Less rotating mass means sharper throttle response. SMF conversions get rid of the dual-mass unit that wears out and causes judder.

Common questions
What Exedy clutch kits does Revzone stock?
OE replacements, Sports Tuff heavy-duty organics, Ballistic Tuff Clutchtex kits, Hyper Singles, Hyper Multis, and flywheels. We keep popular applications on the shelf and can order anything else from the Exedy catalogue.
What's the difference between Sports Tuff and Ballistic Tuff?
Sports Tuff is a heavy-duty organic — higher clamp load than OE but the same feel on the street. Ballistic Tuff uses Exedy's Clutchtex material which holds more torque, lasts 2–3x longer than ceramic, and won't damage your flywheel surface. If you've added serious power, Ballistic Tuff is the better choice.
How long does a clutch replacement take?
Most clutch jobs are a one to two day turnaround depending on the platform. We'll give you a timeline when you book in.
Do I need a new clutch after adding a turbo?
In most cases, the factory clutch won't hold the extra torque. We see them slip pretty quickly once boost comes in. Talk to us before the turbo install and we can do both jobs at once.
Should I replace the flywheel at the same time?
If you're doing a clutch, the flywheel should at minimum be inspected and resurfaced. If it's a dual-mass unit with any wear, it makes sense to convert to a single-mass while the box is out. Doing it later means pulling the gearbox again.
Can Revzone fit a clutch I've already bought?
Absolutely. Bring your kit in and we'll fit it. We just can't warranty parts we didn't supply.
Which Exedy clutch do I need for my power level?
OE replacement for stock power. Sports Tuff for tuned cars with bolt-ons. Ballistic Tuff for modified builds making real power — it holds serious torque without the harsh engagement of a cerametallic. Hyper Single or Multi for dedicated track cars and big-power builds. Talk to us and we'll match the clutch to what the car actually makes.
Clutch slipping or due for an upgrade?
Let us know the car, the power level, and how you use it. We'll quote the right Exedy kit and the install together.
