Common questions

Coilovers or lowering springs — which do I need?
Lowering springs keep your factory dampers and drop the car. Cheapest way to lower a car, no adjustment. Coilovers give you damping and ride height adjustment. If you want to corner harder, run a track day, or set the car at a specific height, go coilovers. If you just want it sitting lower for the look and the dampers are still fresh, springs are fine.
Will coilovers be too harsh to daily?
Depends on the brand and how they're set up. Tein Flex Z, Bilstein B14, MCA Blue, BC BR series — all daily-able. Track-spec coilovers with stiff spring rates are not. Tell us how you use the car and we'll spec something that suits.
Can I supply my own coilovers?
Yes. We'll check them when they arrive to make sure they fit and aren't damaged. Warranty on fitment applies only to parts we supply.
What's the lead time?
Usually 3-4 weeks to book. If the parts are at the workshop, install is normally one day.
Will my car still pass roadworthy?
Depends on how low you go. Victoria's minimum ride height is 100mm to the lowest rigid point of the suspension. We set the car within spec by default. If you want it lower for shows or track use, we'll tell you what's at stake.
