Why the HKS turbo kit specifically?

HKS has been building turbo kits for the 86/BRZ since the platform launched. The FA24 kit runs through the factory ECU via EcuTek and drives like a properly sorted car, not a hack job.

Do I need to upgrade my clutch?

If your car's a manual, yes. The stock clutch won't hold this kind of torque, so we include an Exedy clutch rated for the power level. Skip it and you'll be replacing a burnt clutch inside six months. Autos don't need one.

Will the FA24 handle this power?

Yes. The FA24 bottom end is stronger than the FA20 it replaced. With sensible tune targets and the right supporting mods (all included here), it holds up fine.

Why single fuel tune instead of flex?

Most people run 98 because it's easier to find. We tune for that and get the most out of it. Want E85 too? Add flex fuel and the ECU switches between them automatically.

How long does the build take?

Usually about a week and a half. We'll lock in timing when you book in. You'll get photos and updates as we go.

A turbo kit voids the factory powertrain warranty, full stop. If your car is still covered, that's worth knowing upfront. We warranty our own work (parts and labour) but the factory won't.

Your car comes in, parts go on, and it goes straight onto the dyno for a custom tune built from scratch. We road test, verify everything, and hand it back with dyno sheets.
